Sprinkled over a corner of the Indian Ocean, Andaman and Nicobar islands are part of India but geographically closer to Myanmar and Thailand. They are not easy islands to get to but then the fun is all in the journey, right?
Even though the islands are far to the east of India, local time is still based on Indian time, which means it gets dark at 6:30pm and daybreak is at 5:30am.
The Andaman Islands are a land of immense natural beauty - forests lead down steep hillsides to rocks, hard-packed beach, white sand, or small mangrove forests. This is the place for ADRENALINE JUNKIES as there is Scuba Diving , Snorkelling and many other water activities .
Kala Patthar Beach at Havelock Island is one of my favourite beaches. You will be impressed by the stunning scenic beauty of the beach.
Though my trip started with me cribbing about the fact that there is No Internet/Wi-Fi in Andaman and Nicobar Island, but by the 2nd day I was actually enjoying the Peace and Calm. Also I realised that there is no better way to spend some quality time with Family and Friends. I would suggest this place for a small get away!
