How to style a SHRUG this summer

One of my go-to garments is the shrug cardigan. This short cardigan style is great in summer as it provides shoulder coverage and some upper arm concealing over sleeveless or spaghetti straps, or in cooler times may be a set of long sleeves, but without disturbing the rest of the outfit too much. •A light-knitted shrug is suitable for light, breezy days. You can style a solid one with a crop top and printed pants to rejuvenate a much-worn college look. Adding a pair of multi-strapped wedges or gladiators and reflectors will be the perfect way to complete the look. •Open front shrugs give out a laid-back appeal. So, if you're sick of wearing a pair of dungarees in the same old way, add a contrast shrug on top of it and watch your look transform completly. Go for a matching bag and tan brown high-tops to complete the casual look. •Bored of wearing a basic tee with acid-washed jeans? Accentuate your look with a long shrug in an exciting hue like marsala. Add unexpected accessories like a metal cuff and a strappy pair of flats. •Perk up a regular pair of black shorts-basic black tee combination with an open-front shrug. This one can surely come in handy in those centralised air-conditioned malls or a day out. •A shrug with a dress is a no-brainer! Be it to cover-up summer dresses with spaghetti straps and plunging necklines or just to add it as a topper in the fall season, you can't go wrong with this one. We recommend adding a long shrug to a skater dress. Complete the look with a pair of high-top sneakers or ankle-length shoes. For a little bit of that extra edge, add a pair of quirky socks. •Add a chic appeal to a sporty look by teaming a shrug with a crop top, a pair of pants and sneakers. You can go for an eccentric print or just opt for one in a plush fabric and we promise, your look would hardly go unnoticed! •Take a classic black and white striped top-red skirt look to another level by matching it with a shrug. It will surely transform your look in a jiffy! Add a pair of tan brown gladiators for the much-needed drama. Hoping this helped you! Until next time :)
